my miniature dachshund does the exact same thing as your dog. When she’s playing with us or another dog she’ll stay real still for several seconds with her eyes never leaving her target. Then she’ll strike quickly haha. Love these dogs.

He is an outdoor …
He is an outdoor cat and needs his claws for self-defense, so, no, he still has his claws. His claws have never come out during his play with either of our dacshunds. He eats their food at times and they just join in. The key was getting them as puppies and introducing them right away to him. We also made it clear that his sleeping space was sacrosanct and that the dogs would not invade his privacy. It has worked out well.

we have a dachshund that is a male and his name is charlie. My sisters female cat who is living with us looks just like Fignuts. they are still gettin used to each other but I hope one day they will get a long just as well. =)

I have a chocolate mini dachshund and she plays with the cat just like this. My cat is out doors and is use to hunting. Sometimes I get real scared when I see him biting on Cocoa’s neck just like this cat is doing. Nice to know that other cats play with “their” dachshunds

Her color and markings (dapple) are the principle reason we picked her. Fortunately for us, her temperament turned out to be her best quality, as she is just so loving and loyal.
