Miniature Dachshund

She is a long-haired cream miniature dachshund.

Brulee, like Creme Brulee. Pronounced "broo-lay"

The standard Dachshund’s height can be between 14-18 inches and weigh between 16 and 28 pounds. The miniature’s height will be under 14 inches and weigh 11 pounds or less. I had a long-haired standard and have a long-haired miniature. My standard passed last December. Great dogs!

I'm an owner of both a standard and a mini dachshund.

The standard was larger than the mini as a puppy.

The mini will be tiny, as the standard will be quite large.

I just noticed many specks of blood on the towel in my puppies crate, how long will she be in season?

I've heard that the food is very high in protein levels. Is it dangerous? My dog weighs around 10 pounds. Is it safe?

Dogs are carnivores and are physically designed to eat high protein diets. Further, dogs are dogs and there is no such thing as a breed specific diet.

The protein levels in EVO are just fine for your mini dachshund and while I am not a fan of kibble because it's a processed food (we all do better on whole real foods), EVO is one of the better ones out there because 1) it does not have grain (it does have carbohydrate which dogs do not need but the carbohydrate used is less offensive than grain) and 2) the proteins used are high quality and human grade.

Absolutely this food is safe for your dog. It has a higher level of protein because it's not filled with garbage fillers (grains and other low quality byproducts).
