Yeah well my mom's friends daughter's cousin's brother in laws neighbor let their dog do it and it was fine. No I'm kidding, but I have had several dogs, they all climbed stairs and none broke their backs. Don't listin to 12 year olds on youtube.

thats not true! If you have a dog and your doing that STOP because it can damage thier back! My dad had a friend that had a dog that went up the stairs and it broke its back. They triend taking it to a vet but the dog died!

That's a myth. Unless the dog already had a back problem or is obese, there is nothing damaging about letting them go up stairs. It's letting them jump of beds or higher things that you should avoid.

yaaa… i have 3, 2 girls 1 boy, the boy (oscar) can go up or down stairs cuz he had a slip disk in his spin and after surgery, he could use his back legs at all… hope she gets over her "stair frace" i hope lol

it's bad to let daschunds on the stairs because the angle puts a lot of stress on their back (because of their sausage-ness).

they have a lot of back problems due to their breed and should avoid stairs at all costs!!

My dachsuhnd does the same thing! She randomly stops on the stairs with her but on one and her front paws on a lower one.

Mines a longhaired mini (black/brown)and had the same problem with the stairs lol. Now he's crazy and goes rushing down them. He's fallen down a few before, just gets up looking slightly stunned and runs off to attack a Sheltie or cat (damn those annoying cats! lol).

Teddy Bear was the same way!!!He used to be scared to death of them till he turned two months,then he started racing up them as fast as he could.He's a two year old,I swear they grow up sooo fast.
