How Can I Make a Stronger Bond With My Dachshund?

My dachshund will be 3 this coming June, and she is a mini. She has problems with me for some reason and I dont know why. She loves my dad and my mom, but always growls at me, and I am not threatening her. Sometimes, she can be really sweet to me though. How can I bring that goodness right outta her and bond with her so that she loves me even more? Thanks.

he sees your mom and dad at the alpha or lead of the pack and doesn't find you as a owner more of competition for there attention maybe you have to prove to him your fun and try feeding him treats by hand and playing with him.how long have you had hi

sounds like she thinks she is higher in the chain for your family than you are. Giove her treats, play with her, and feed her if your parents will let you. They also can help by not letting her get so upset when you are around. They can put her on her back with you also touching her. She will learn but mostly you have to find a place with her either with training, walking her or feeding her.

Hi! Maybe if you feed her and only you. If she see's that your the one that gives her food, possibly she will bond with you more then.

    stop beating her.

dont lie, we all know you slap her around, or worse!. thats the only reason a dog would growl at one person in the house and be nice to others.

Make sure you are the one that gives her her nightly meal or breakfast and try training her. Get her to do some basics commands like sit, stay, drop.

This is exactly what happens with my dog a springer spaniel, i find she is nicer to me when i give her treats, play with her, walk her or just be with her! just gradually spend more time with your dog doing new things and the bond between you with grow stronger over time.
    Good luck!
