Does Anyone Know the Average Weight Range of Mini Dachshund Puppies?

How much should a mini dachshund weigh when its 4 months, 6 months 9 months and a year old? My mini is 4 months old and weighs 4.5 lbs is that normal? I'm just wondering because I was at a pet store and they had a mini there that was 2.5 months and it weighed about 5 lbs. When my doxie was 3 months he weighed 3.4 lbs. Just curious.
I'm not worried that he's under weight, I can't see his ribs except where they end which is good. I was just wondering if he's small for his breed.

Hon it is going to vary according to the size of the parents and how well fed and nourished he is. Upper weight limit for a mini dachshund is 11 pounds. A standard is 16-30 pounds. Any dog that falls between 11-16 pounds is called a "tweenie" – not an actual AKC term; just a common term for dogs that are neither fish nor fowl.
Pups are going to be pudgier but at age 1 you should be able to see a waist both from above or the side; see where the rib cage ends but not actually be able to count the ribs.
Your dog should reach his full height and length by 1 year but the chest continues to drop and fill out until age 18 months.
Just make sure you keep him on a quality food like Canidae, no more than 1/2 cup a day total, no table scraps and easy on the treats. Overweight dachshunds are (more than usually) prone to back injuries. For treats I give my 3 guys baby carrots, bits of apples or pears, and plain old cheerios.
Don't worry about the weight because it is going to be what it is going to be (unless you overfeed him and make him fat) Just enjoy him and take lots of pictures because the little rascals grow WAY TOO FAST!!

As long as no ribs are showing, and he is not showing any signs of dehydration. You should be fine. If you have any concerns please take him to the vet, or just give them a call they should be able to help you. Plus my dachshund is 4 and ways 22 pounds. So they get bigger as they grow. Please if there are any problems please call the vet

Sounds OK to me. My adult mini doxie is a real small one and weighs 7 lbs.

That is exactly what mt min weighted at those ages she is now 2 and weighs 9 pounds. I am not sure if you are concerned about her being too thin, but don't worry. Worry when it gets too fat this is very dangerous for a mini doxie lots of pressure on their spine, they can become paralyzed then they have to be put down.
